NAGALAND: ASSAM RIFLES CAPTURES ILLEGAL EXPLOSIVE, AMMUNITION AND CONTRABANDS

Wokha Assam Rifles Battalion under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) conducted an operation along with a Police representative in general area Longsachung, Wokha district on 25 May 2018.

During the operation two persons were apprehended alongwith illegal explosive, ammunition and contrabands. The individuals were identified as Mr Nyanbemo, 42 yrs, son of Late Ratsemo, residence of Longsachung village, Wokha District and Mr Hanjilo, 40 Yrs, son of Khulo, R/o Nsunyu, Tseminyu, Kohima District.

The recoveries include four hand grenades, eight live cartridge of 12 Bore, 759 Samprax capsules, 150 Nytrosun Tablets, Indian Currency worth Rs 55235, three smartphone with battery, five mobile phone with battery plus, one spare battery, 15 can beer Kingfisher, 06 Mc Dowell Rum, 3 Pig Teeth, one Pen drive and PRC, Bank Passbook and Wrist Watch.

The individual alongwith recovered items were later handed over to Wokha Police Station and an FIR was also lodge against the individuals.
