Nagaland BJP Chief Temjen Imna Along Allegedly Caught on Cam While Dancing in Disco

Kohima, June 25, 2019:

Nagaland BJP Chief Temjen Imna Along has allegedly been caught on camera while dancing his socks off at a discotheque in New Delhi!

In the video footage which has reached InsideNE, a person who has been speculated to be the young BJP leader can be seen dancing with an unidentified woman. Both seem to be having the time of their lives and Temjen's face is abloom with a smile in the short video clip.

It is unclear who shot the video, but it is likely that it was shot by an admirer or a big fan of the colorful politician.

Apart from being Nagaland BJP President, Temjen Imna Along Longkumer is also the Nagaland State Cabinet’s Minister for Higher & Technical Education.

In an unprecedented move, Bharatiya Janata Party National President, Amit Shah, appointed Temjen Imna Along as President of Nagaland State BJP, replacing Visasolie Lhoungu who had been State president since January 2016. His 3-year tenure as party president would have ended in January 2019.

The decision, taken by the BJP central leadership, took several workers of BJP Nagaland by surprise.

Many senior BJP leaders speculated that he was chosen because he is young and dynamic.

At the time when Tenjem was appointed as BJP President, trouble was brewing within the Nagaland BJP State unit with some party officials and elected MLAs favouring a change at the top.

It was also informed that this section of the BJP had written a letter to the National President Amit Shah seeking a change of guard.

However, another source cautioned that the step to remove the Visasolie Lhoungu as party President was ill timed and hasty. The source maintained that the State unit President should have been allowed to complete his term and not unceremoniously removed.
