In a latest development, the Bharatiya Janata Party has extended its support to their pre-poll alliance partner Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party(NDPP) to form the government in Nagaland.
The BJP and its ally NDPP met Governor PB Acharya on Sunday, a day after the Nagaland Assembly Election results showed the pre-poll alliance winning more seats than the incumbent Naga People’s Front led by TR Zeliang. BJP General Secretary Ram Madhav and the alliance’s CM candidate Neiphiu Rio met the Governor and the alliance has exhuded confidence that they would be able to form a stable government in the state as the numbers were on their side.
