Nagaland detected 2 more COVID-19 cases, on June 16th 2020 taking the state’s total to 179. All cases are from Kohima QC.
Informing this, S Pangnyu Phom, Nagaland Health and Family Welfare, tweeted:
Of the 179 confirmed cases, 87 are active cases and 92 have been cured and discharged so far. However, the state has not registered any death to date.
Assam has highest number of COVID-10 cases in the Northeast India. Nagaland has the 4th highest cases in the region.

India has crossed 2 lakh-mark in terms of corona positives on June 3rd. As on June 16th, the country currently has 343K confirmed COVID-19 cases, 153178 active cases with 180013 cured and discharged. The total number of deaths is 9900.
Among the states, Maharashtra is the first state to cross 3 thousand deaths. It has recorded 110744 corona cases with 56049 cured, 4128 deaths, and 50567 active cases. The western state is followed by Delhi and Tamil Nadu. Delhi has corona 42829 cases with 16427 cured, 1400 deaths, and 25002 active cases. Tamil Nadu has 46504 positive cases with 25344 cured, 479 deaths 20681 active cases. Gujarat with 24055 COVID-19 cases, so far, has 16664 have been cured, 1505 deaths, and 5886 active cases.
Such rising cases in Nagaland are mostly coming from travel history.
