The Government of Nagaland on Monday, 24th August 2020 warned regarding the unauthorised circulation of information regarding the reopening of schools in the state for Class 9 to 12 from the month of October 2020.

The Government issued a notice after the circulation of a fake pamphlet on social media. The government informed that the pamphlet that is being circulated on social media is just a piece of rough work including dummy dates which were meant for the purpose of discussion at a higher level.

It further mentioned that the pamphlet is not authorized by the government of the state and advised not to circulate the ‘unauthorised pamphlet’ further. It also said that no one should be misled by the piece of fake information.

Coronavirus update: Nagaland

Nagaland has registered 28 new COVID19 positive cases on 24th August, taking the state’s tally to 3,714.
Confirming the news, Nagaland health minister S Pangnyu Phom said that the new cases have been detected out of 587 samples tested.

The health minister further informed that out of the new cases, 24 cases have been detected in Kohima, 2 have been recorded in Dimapur, and 1 each case has been in Longleng and Zunheboto districts.

The health minister informed that out of the recovered patients, 85 are from Dimapur and 17 are from Kohima.
A total of 2,396 patients have recovered from the disease and the state currently has 1,301 COVID19 active cases.
