KOHIMA: The Nagaland Government has issued guidelines for the Durga puja festival in the state in view of the COVID-19 situation.
As per guidelines, the puja pandals are allowed only outside the containment zones. Devotees may visit pandals between 5 am and 9 pm.
A maximum of 50 per cent of the capacity of marquees will be allowed inside the pandals at a time.
Advisories instructed organisers not to allow any person to enter the puja premises without a mask and sanitising of hands. Puja committees to arrange masks, sanitisers at the entry point itself.

Puja committees were advised to sanitise the puja premises before opening and after closing and every 6 hours during the day.
All visitors to puja premises would be subject to thermal scanning by puja organisers and no person with COVID-19 symptoms would be allowed to enter the puja premises.
Persons above 65 years of age, children below 10 years of age, people with co-morbidities and pregnant women were advised to avoid visiting pandals.
A maximum of 50 persons would be allowed to take part in immersion procession amid appropriate behaviour at all times.
