Speaker of Nagaland Legislative Assembly Vikho-o Yhoshü passed away on Monday at a hospital in Mumbai. He was 67.

The two-time Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) leader from Southern Angami-I constituency was diagnosed with lung cancer. He was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Mumbai.
Yhoshü was an alumnus of the Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad.
He was elected as the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly in March this year. He had defeated Naga People's Front's (NPF) Dr. Imtiwapang Aier, who had contested against him for the post of Speaker.
