Nagaland Lok Sabha by poll recorded 75% voters turnout till 7pm out of 11,97436 electors from 2196 polling station in 60 A/C. Altogether 17 complaints were received from NDPP & BJP Alliance and NPF political parties for not allowing voters to cast their votes. NDPP & BJP Alliance complained in 16 polling station under 20 Melluri A/C while NPF party complained for repoll under 8 Kohima Town A/C.

While seven persons were arrested under 26- Aonglenden A/C in polling station 13 Kubza when around 70 people forcefully entered the polling station and smashed the BU & CU ARO, Mokokchung has officially recommended for repoll which was later forwarded to ECI.

On matter relating to repolling in 17 polling stations (16 polling stations in Meluri and one in Lerie colony Kohima) repolling to those polling stations will be known only after scrutiny which will hold tomorrow. Counting will be held on 31st May 2018 in all the 12 district headquarters across the state.

The election across the state was peaceful despite complaints received on proxy voting from various polling station were reported which was later settled.
