New Nagaland Director General of Police, T. John Longkumer (IPS) has today officially taken charge of office at PHQ Kohima. Longkumer who was the Additional DGP, Chhattishgarh is CH: 1991 Chhattishgarh cadre, and after 27 years he has been posted in his home land.
The new DGP after assuming office took the customary guard of honour in the morning.
It may be mentioned that on 20th June 2018, Home Commissioner R. Ramakrishnan in an official notification issued stated that in the interest of the public service, the Governor of Nagaland was pleased to order Renchamo P. Kikon, IPS, Additional DGP to take the current charge of DGP in addition to his normal duties and directed Rupin Sharma, IPS, DGP, Nagaland to be kept on compulsory wait.
