Nagaland Peace Accord was signed-in on 3 August 2015 by the Government of India and the National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN) to end the insurgency. Government’s Interlocutor for Naga Peace Talks R. N. Ravi signed it on behalf of the Government of India whereas Lt. Isak Chishi Swu, Chairman and Thuingaleng Muivah, General Secretary signed on behalf of the NSCN in presence of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Naga peace talks are now in the final stages. However, there have been reports of unhappiness shown towards R N Ravi, who is the interlocutor as well as the governor of the state. Speaking to Inside Northeast, V Horem of the NSCN responds to the situation. "R N Ravi has not kept consistency and we are not happy with him. He has done misinterpretation to what has happened after the framework agreement and started changing his stand. He is trying to interpret all naga political talks merely within Indian constitution and of late he wrote a letter to CM claiming Naga political groups as gangsters. He has distorted the issue which is political in nature into law and order".

The following talks have divided Nagaland into groups supporting Ravi and few wanting his removal from the peace talks. V Horen said, "although we are not happy with him but we have never spoken about his remocal. All of this is media speculation".

Meanwhile, a senior team of NSCN-IM leaders joined chief Th Muivah, in New Delhi to continue discussions with the Centre on a possible resolution of the Nagaland political issue.
