Nagaland records 135 fresh COVID-19 cases

KOHIMA: Nagaland on Sunday reported 135 new positive cases of COVID-19, state Health and Family Welfare Minister S Pangnyu Phom informed.

Phom said that out of the total cases detected, Kohima  recorded 71 cases while Dimapur recorded 53 cases of COVID-19.

9 people were tested positive in Tuensang while Kiphire and Mon reported one cases each.

The minister further added that 20 people recovered from the disease.

Meanwhile, The Nagaland Civil Secretariat Office Complex on Sunday declared as ‘Sealed Area’ with effect from Monday, November 16 for the next 48 hours, informed the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kohima, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa, NCS.

The ADC further informed that the decision has been taken in view of the detection of a number of COVID-19 positive cases in the state.

The sealed area is mapped and cordoned off and the public and all concerned are advised to follow all safety precautions of wearing masks all the time, frequently washing hands and maintain social/physical distances to ensure public hygiene and personal safety within the proximity of the sealed area, the ADC notified.
