Nagaland sees spike in COVID-19 cases, total reaches 347Sikkim

Nagaland reported 17 new cases on June 24th, 2020 taking the state’s total to 347, stated the state Health and Family Welfare Minister S Pangnyu Phom. Out of the 17 confirmed cases, 15 patients are from Kohima quarantine centre and 2 are from Zunheboto quarantine centre.

Out of the 347 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 206 are active cases and 141 have been cured and discharged in the state so far. However, the state has not registered any death due to the infection.

Nagaland and the Northeast

Assam has registered the highest number of COVID-19 cases in Northeast followed by Tripura.

India COVID-19 cases so far

Among the states, Maharashtra is the first state to cross 6 thousand deaths. It has recorded 135796 corona cases with 67706 cured, 6283 deaths, and 61807 active cases. The western state is followed by Delhi and Tamil Nadu. Delhi has corona 62655 cases with 36602 cured, 2233 deaths, and 23820 active cases. Tamil Nadu has 62087 positive cases with 34112 cured, 794 deaths 27181 active cases. Gujarat with 27825 COVID-19 cases, so far, has 19909 have been cured, 1684 deaths, and 6232 active cases.
