KOHIMA: The Nagaland Police lodged a suo moto FIR against the 21st Paramilitary Force over the firing incident in Mon district on Saturday which led to the deaths of 14 civilians. The FIR states that the intention of the security forces was to "murder and injure civilians."
The FIR further stated that the operation was carried out without any intimation or requisition for a local police guide.
"It is to be noted that at the time of the incident, there was no local police guide nor did the security forces requisition to police station to provide police guide for their operation. Hence, it is obvious that the intention of security forces was to murder and injure civilians," the FIR states.
