The National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN) has expelled senior ministers and party members citing their continuous effort to propagate and encourage the Myanmar’s Nationwide ceasefire agreement (NCA).
In a statement released today, the NSCN listed the names of the expelled members. “Major General (Retd) Angmai, Home Kilonser, GPRN, Chowsangsing, Religious Kilonser, GPRN, Angkan, Forest Kilonser, GPRN, R. Sothing, Central Council Member, GPRN, Lt. Col. Aungsein, Naga Army,” it said.

It added, “These 5 party members who are imprisoned in Khamti jail by Myanmar government since March 9, 2019 deliberately continued to conspire and mobilize regarding NCA which is directly against party discipline under Article 4 and 5 of Section C.”

The NSCN has stripped the stated Kilonsers of holding any responsible post in both the Council and the government under Article 10 (a) of Section A.
It said, “Hence, all Authorization, Power and Privileges enjoyed by them stands cancel with effect from today.”
