In order to reach out to students and create awareness among them on policing, Nagaland Police have taken up an initiative called “Police Ke Pathshala”. This is aimed at educating students about the ‘rule of law’ and the need to maintain “law and order’.
The project was launched on August 31 at a Kohima school in the presence of 500. The issues discussed were cyber crime community policing, crime against women, road safety, self-defence, criminal law amendments, women empowerment and bridging the gap between public and police.
According to reports, all higher secondary schools and colleges in Nagaland would be brought under this project.
