DIMAPUR: Vitopu Ayemi has been elected as the new president of the Dimapur Sumi Students' Union (DSSU); his tenure will last from from 2021-2023.
Talking to Inside Northeast, the new President reveals that the election was a bit troubled, but it was eventually held today, and he was elected as the President of the students' body. "Some internal issues had to be resolved before we could hold the elections, but after it was eventually held, I was elected as the President of the DSSU," he said.

Asked about his agenda going forward, Ayemi said, "Being a student platform, we give priority to students, and we give a platform to students. We have a good network of colonies across Dimapur, and we make it a point to hear the grievances of students from every community and tribe."
