5-year-old girl killed, BSF jawan martyred in Pak shelling in J&K

J&K, April 1, 2019:

A Border Security Force (BSF) jawan was martyred and a 5-year-old girl was killed on Monday after Pakistani troops initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by targeting posts and villages along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district. Several others have been injured during the attack and were rushed to a nearby hospital.

The deceased girl has been identified as Sobia, who was killed when a shell exploded near their house in Shahpur sub-sector. Eleven persons, including six soldiers, were injured during the accident.

The firing from across the border started in Mankote, Krishna Ghati, Kerni, Gulpur, Degwar Shahpur, and Poonch sub-sectors at around 3 pm. The Indian army is retaliating effectively.
