Delhi: While the magic happened in Bengal, it may just work out in Uttar Pradesh, that is what Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav seems to think as they released a new election anthem on Friday to take on CM Yogi and the BJP on the upcoming elections in Uttar Pradesh.
So the famous 'Khela Hobe' used by Mamta Banerjee to take on the BJP'S efficient election machinery and to come out victorious has just been reinvented to 'Khadeda Hobe' in Uttar Pradesh this year.
Akhilesh Yadav has chosen the slogan for about a month and it has garnered a good response from the public in the rallies. As such, the party think tank has also decided to go with the slogan.
Scheduled to be held in late February and March before the UP Assembly's term expires on May 14, the election is going to be a mega contest between the BJP and the Samajwadi Party along with other players like Mayawati's BSP, the Congress, and Aam Aadmi Party.
The Election will be contested on 403 seats with 202 the majority mark in the most populous state and perhaps the most politically significant state. 2017 UP Assembly gave a clear mandate to the BJP with 312 seats and it has pledged to repeat the performance 'at all costs'.
