A Naib Subedar was martyred during the exchange of fire between the Indian Army and Pakistan Army on Tuesday night.
According to Army sources, suspicious movement was observed in the hours of darkness in their own forward post near the Line of Control. This movement was also supported by Pakistan Army firing from their post.

As a result of this, the Indian Army immediately retaliated with heavy volume of fire.
In the ensuing exchange of fire, Naib Subedar Valte Sunil Ravsaheb was critically injured and later succumbed to his injuries.
Reportedly, the firing continued after the incident inflicting substantial damages to Pakistan Army.

Naib Subedar Valte Sunil Ravsaheb aged 40 years hails from Dahigaon village in Tehsil – Kopargaon district of Ahmednagar, Maharashtra. He is survived by his wife, Mangala.
The Army paid their tribute to the brave Naib Subedar Valte Sunil Ravsaheb for his contribution towards the country.
