Army Major among six killed in J-K

Four Indian Army soldiers, including a Major, and two terrorists were killed in a fierce gunfight in Kashmir on Tuesday.

The encounter took place at Gurez sector in north Kashmir when an eight-member group of terrorists was making an attempt to infiltrate from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

The Indian soldiers martyred were identified as Major KP Rane, hawaldar Jamie Singh, hawaldar Vikramjeet and rifleman Mandeep.
