Army Major martyred in IED blast at Rajouri near LOC in J&K

Srinagar, February 16, 2019:

As the nation continues to grieve over the terror incident at Pulwama which claimed of lives of as many as 49 CPRF jawans, another incident of terror has been reported from Kashmir.

Within 52 hours of the Pulwama attack, another terror update, this time from Kashmir's Rajouri district, has shaken the country. An Army Major and an Army official have been martyred after an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast took place along the Line of Control in Nowshera sector of Rajouri district in Jammu.

As per reports, the explosion took place at Lam Jhanger, a place near the LOC in Rajouri district.

The Army Major was critically injured and on the way to the military hospital, he succumbed to his injuries. According to official sources, the deceased Major has been identified as Chitre of Engineering Unit.
