New Delhi, May 23, 2019:

Outspoken tv anchor Arnab Goswami has dived headlong into another controversy after the popular tv anchor mistakenly referred to BJP's Gurdaspur candidate Sunny Deol as 'Sunny Leone'.

Arnab was trolled mercilessly after the slip-of-tongue and even the Bollywood heartthrob Sunny Leone responded to his gaffe on micro-blogging site Twitter.

Arnab's goof up is understandable as the election news coverage has reached a fever-pitch on D-day as the results of the election are already starting to come in.

A clip of Arnab's goof-up went viral and it eventually caught the attention of Sunny Leone herself, who took to Twitter and posted: "Leading by How many votes ???? ;)"

Meanwhile, Sunny Deol, who is representing the BJP, is winning in Gurdaspur and has accumulated 51.51% of the votes thus far. Deol's nearest rival, Sunil Jakhar, has earned 42.33% of the votes.

Sunny Deol is an ardent supporter of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and expressed his support for him after joining the BJP party on April 23 in Delhi. While joining, Deol said that PM Modi has done a lot for the country and wished that he remains the prime minister for another five years. He has further added that the youth needs people like Modi for inspiration.

Sunny has further added that he simply wants to work for the betterment of the people in his Constituency. He has said that he does not know much about issues like Balakot strikes or India's relations with Pakistan. He has also said that he only wants to serve the people and has refused to comment on political issues.

Meanwhile, Sunny Leone has not shown any interest in politics whatsoever.
