Union Home Minister Amit Shah has called for a high-level security meeting at his residence ahead of the final verdict on the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid title dispute that will be pronounced today.
The high-level meeting is underway.
A five-bench judge panel led by Chief Justice of India, Ranjan Gogoi will deliver the verdict today. The other justices are- S A Bobde, D Y Chandrachud, Ashok Bhushan and S Abdul Nazeer.
National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval, Intelligence Bureau (IB) Chief Arvind Kumar and other senior officials will be attending the meeting, said reports.
Security in and around the Supreme Court was increased on Saturday, with barricades being put on roads leading to the apex court's premises. Security outside the residences of Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi and justices S A Bobde, D Y Chandrachud, Ashok Bhushan and S Abdul Nazeer, who will deliver the judgment, has also been beefed up by the Delhi Police.
