The long-awaited Ayodhya verdict has finally been pronounced by the five-Judges panel of the Supreme Court earlier on Saturday.
As per the Supreme Court of India, while Hindus will get the disputed land in Ayodhya (subject to conditions), while the Muslims will get an alternate plot of land. "Wrong committed must be limited,"the bench stated.
The Supreme Court has ruled that the Sunni Waqf Board will get five acres of alternate land, which will be accorded either by the state or the Centre.

A suitable plot of land, measuring 5 acres, shall be given to Sunni Waqf Board either by the state or by the Centre. Under Article 142, SC directs in the scheme to be framed, Nirmohi Akhara will also get representation.
Moreover, the land will remain vested in statutory receiver, till the Government trust is formed. The trust will be formed in three months and management of construction of the temple is to be monitored by the trust.
Reacting to this, Zafaryab Jilani, a member of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board, has said that five acres of land does not have any value for the Muslims.
Meanwhile, prohibitory orders have been issued across Delhi to maintain public order. The security has been beefed up all across the sensitive zones across the national capital including the residents of CJI Ranjan Gogoi, S A Bobde, D Y Chandrachud, Ashok Bhushan and S Abdul Nazeer.
