Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Delhi election candidate, Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga has warned the protesters of Shaheen Bagh of a “surgical strike” on February 11, soon after the results are out.
Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga made the statement through a social media post his official twitter handle and shared a video of the protest at Shaheen Bagh with the caption, “शाहीन बाग़ समर्थको द्वारा कल जंतर मंतर से कहा गया कि भारतीय सेना अपने लोगो को मारती है, भारतीय सेना की तुलना पाकिस्तानी सेना से की जा रही है। शाहीन बाग़ देशद्रोह का अड्डा बन चुका है, 11 तारीख को नतीजे आते सबसे पहले इन अड्डो पर सर्जिकल स्ट्राइक की जाएगी ।”
(Yesterday, Shaheen Bagh supporters were told at Jantar Mantar that the Indian Army kills its people, the Indian Army is being compared to the Pakistani Army. Shaheen Bagh has become the base of treason; First of all, surgical strikes will be done on these bases on the 11th Feb once the results are out)
In the video, Bagga, the BJP candidate from Hari Nagar, described Shaheen Bagh as a “den of traitors” and said surgical strikes would be conducted on such dens after the election results are announced.
It is to be mentioned here that the demonstration at Shaheen Bagh has now passed weeks and it has become a symbolic agitation against the central government’s amended Citizenship Act.
The Election Commission has asked the police to file a case against BJP’s Kapil Mishra, a former Aam Aadmi Party leader who said last week that “Pakistan” had entered Shaheen Bagh and banned him from campaigning for two days.
This week, poll authorities sent show-cause notices to two BJP leaders, including Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma, who said people at Shaheen Bagh would rape and kill women and ordered the BJP to remove them as star campaigners.
