An unidentified assailant opened fire on Shiv Sena leader, Shekhar Jadhav on Thurday morning in Mumbai’s Vikhroli area.
Jadhav suatained injuries on his hand following the attack and was rushed to the nearest medical centre, Godrej Hospital in Vikhroli.

According to reports, the incident took place near Sai Mandir in Tagore Nagar area of Vikhroli. It may be mentioned here that the passers-by caught hold of the unidentified assailant and handed over to the police.
The name of the assailant is yet to be disclosed and the cause of the firing is yet to be known. Further investigations are on.
