Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president JP Nadda on Monday said that the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) which was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic will be implemented soon. Nadda made the statement during a meeting of social groups.
Nadda also said that all will be benefitted by the CAA and the BJP is committed to implement it.
He added that the CAA will be implemented soon as the COVID-19 situation is slowly improving. Nadda further said that the process of framing of rules have already started.

It may be mentioned that Nadda was on a day-long visit to Bengal to take stock of organisational matters ahead of 2021 assembly elections and held separate meetings with BJP leaders in north Bengal and social and religious groups.
On the other hand, Nadda while addressing the Samajik Samuha Meeting in Siliguri said that the BJP is thankful to the Gorkhas as they have always been the alliance of the party. He also said that saffron party is committed to fulfill the commitment mentioned in the election manifesto for a Permanent Political Solution of the Gorkhas and granting tribal status to the 11 Gorkha Communities.
