Corona positives spur as India crosses 70,000 cases: Here's the breakdown

India has reported 70,756 confirmed cases including 46,008 active cases, 22,454 cured/discharged and 2,293 deaths so far.

As of today, India has reached the 70,000 mark in terms of Covid19 positive cases. The country currently has 46,008 active cases with 22,454 cured and discharged. The total number of deaths is 2,293.

Among the states, Maharashtra has recorded 23,401 cases with 4786 cured and 868 deaths. The western state is followed by Gujarat and Maharasthra. Gujarat has  8541 cases with 2780 cured and 513 deaths. Tamil Nadu has crossed 8002 cases with 2051 cured and 53 deaths.

In Northeast India: Tripura has the highest number of cases followed by Assam. Sikkim so far has 0 home cases.
