Due to rising cases of corona virus in India, the civil aviation regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has decided to suspend all international flight operations in the country till July 15.
The DGCA circular read: "The competent authority has decided that scheduled international commercial passenger services to or from India shall remain suspended till 2359 hrs IST of July 15, 2020"
India may still allow certain exemptions. In the statement, they revealed "The international scheduled flights may be allowed on selected routes by the competent authority on case to case basis," the civil aviation ministry said in a statement.

India recorded the highest-ever daily spike of 17,296 COVID-19 cases in the June 25th, pushing the total tally to 4,90,401. The death toll is now 15,301 with 407 new fatalities, as per data released by the Union Health Ministry. Active cases in India stand at 189463 while 285637 have been cured or discharged so far.
Among the states, Maharashtra is the first state to cross 6 thousand deaths. It has recorded 147741 corona cases with 77453 cured, 6931 deaths, and 63357 active cases. The western state is followed by Delhi and Tamil Nadu. Delhi has corona 73780 cases with 44765 cured, 2429 deaths, and 26586 active cases. Tamil Nadu has 70977 positive cases with 39999 cured, 911 deaths 30067 active cases. Gujarat with 29520 COVID-19 cases, so far, has 21498 have been cured, 1753 deaths, and 6269 active cases. Rajasthan reports 364 new COVID-19 cases and one death, taking the total number of cases to 16,660 and death toll to 380. Number of active cases stands at 3,218: State Health Department.
