The nomination of ex-BSF jawan, Tej Bahadur Yadav has been canceled by the Election Commission on Wednesday.
Tej Bahadur was supposed to contest the elections against Prime Minister Narendra Modi on a Samajwadi Party ticket from Varanasi constituency. Bahadur had earlier filed his nomination as an independent candidate
As per reports, his nomination was canceled as he did not produce the required documents in time. Bahadur failed to submit the certificate to the EC stating he/she hasn’t been dismissed due to disloyalty or corruption.
Meanwhile, the former BSF jawan alleged that it was the BJP’s conspiracy to stop him from fighting elections.
It is to be known that Tej Bahadur had earlier posted four videos on social media in January 2017 complaining about unpalatable food at his camp along the Indo-Pakistan border in Jammu and Kashmir. For this, he had to undergo court-martial inquiry and later dismissed from the BSF.
