Five militants killed in Jammu and Kashmir encounter

Guwahati, February 10, 2019:

Five militants were killed today in Kashmir’s Kulgam district, the Indian Army has said.

An encounter took place after the militants opened fire on a search team of the security forces in Kellem village, the Army has said.

The encounter happened in the early hours of the morning as the officials were conducting a search and cordon operation in the area based on specific intel.

The identity and outfit affiliation of the gunned down ultras is yet to be ascertained.
