At least ten people were injured after terrorists lobbed a grenade at a busy Srinagar market on Saturday. All of the injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital, reports said. Three of the victims are said to be in critical condition.
The Kashmir Zone Police has tweeted that the area where the blast occurred has been cordoned off and a search is in progress.

The grenade attack comes amid tightened security measures in the Jammu and Kashmir following the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A, which granted special privileges to the citizens of J&K.

However, the shutdown on Jammu has been eased in recent times, with tourists returning to the valley, and the Government announcing that postpaid mobile connections will be restored in Jammu and Kashmir.

It may be mentioned here that on October 5, terrorists had thrown a grenade in south Kashmir's Anantnag. Around 14 people were injured in the attack that took place outside the District Collector's office.
