'Hindu Raksha Dal' has claimed responsibility for the brutal assault on the students and teachers of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) by masked goons with sticks and iron rods on January 5.
The Dal’s leader, Bhupendra Tomar, also known as Pinky Choaudhury, said that the outfit’s workers had entered the premises of JNU on Sunday since “anti-national and anti-Hindu activities” were carried out by the students.
In a video shared on Twitter, Pinky said, “We could not tolerate. They eat here, live here and pursue their education here. Hindu Raksha Dal will never tolaerate anti-national activities in India,” he said warning that if anyone practices anti-national activities in future, they will be taught a lesson similar to that of the JNU incident.
Comments such as “ABVP’s face-saving stunt” soon started pouring in after the video was widely circulated. Netizens have called it another effort of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS to safeguard the “Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) terrorists.” Some Twitter users have even tagged Delhi Police and asked them to arrest Pinky and trace the roots of the Dal.

“JNU has been the hub of communists since decades. We will not tolerate anti-Hindu sentiments here. We will not tolerate this hub. We were always ready,” said Pinky. He kept repeating, “Iski saari zimmadari hum lete hain,” meaning “We take all the responsibility of the JNU violence”.
It may be mentioned here that initial investigations of Delhi Police have revealed the involvement of ABVP in the JNU violence carried out on Sunday. Several students and teachers were seriously injured in the incident. Police department is investigating the Hindu Raksha Dal’s leader based on the video posted on Twitter.
