As of 24th May, India has reached 132,000* in terms of corona positives. The country currently has 73,560 active cases with 54,440 cured and discharged. The total number of deaths is 3,867.

Among the states, Maharashtra is the first state to cross a thousand deaths. It has recorded 47,190 corona cases with 13,404 cured and 1,577 deaths. The western state is followed by Gujarat and Tamil Nadu. Gujarat has corona 13,664 cases with 6,169 cured and 829 deaths. Tamil Nadu has crossed 15,512 cases with 7491 cured and 103 deaths. The National Capital with 12,910 COVID-19 cases has crossed the 10 thousand mark on May 24th, 2020. So far, 6267 have been cured in Delhi with 231 deaths.

India has surpassed China’s official figure of 82,933 confirmed coronavirus cases. India is the 11th most cases in the world. So far, the USA has the highest number of covid19 cases at 1,666,828.

Global coronavirus cases have surpassed 5.31 million, with Latin America overtaking the United States and Europe in the past week to report the largest portion of new daily cases globally. It represents a new phase in the virus' spread, which initially peaked in China in February before large-scale outbreaks followed in Europe and the United States.
