New Delhi, February 3, 2020:

Jamia Millia Islamia has become the centre of attack once again after unidentified gunmen once again fired shots around the university in Delhi.

According to locals, two men rode a scooter and fired shots in the air and escaped the scene. The incident happened near Gate number 5 of Jamia.

A local named Ghulam Hussain told Inside Northeast, “two people came on a red scooter around 11:30 pm and they shots in the air,” adding that Delhi Police have provided security. “The Police have taken security measures this time so that proper checking is done to prevent any unfortunate incident,” he added.

It may be mentioned here that this is the third firing incident reported from Delhi in four days. On January 30, a teenager had opened fire on the protesters of Citizenship (Amendment) Act or CAA outside the Jamia Millia Islamia, injuring a student. He was later detained by the Police.

After two days, Kapil Gujjar, another gunman shot fire, injuring a student of Jamia. A firing incident was reported from the Shaheen Bagh protest area on January 28, who also threatened the CAA agitators.
