Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi cancel invitation from Karachi Art Council after J&K terror attack

Guwahati, February 15, 2019:

Popular lyricist and a screenwriter Javed Akhtar and his wife, Shabana Azmi have refused to appear for a program that they have been invited to by the Karachi Art Council in Pakistan. The program was to be a celebration of the iconic poet Kaifi Azmi in Pakistan.

In the terror attack a perpetrated by the Jaish-e-Mohammed terror outfit in Pulwana in Jammu and Kashmir, 42 jawans were martyred after a military vehicle was rammed by an explosive-carrying vehicle by a terrorist who has been identified as Adil Dar.

Akhtar condemned the incident and tweeted:
