J&K | Militant killed in encounter with security forces at Shopian

J&K, March 22, 2019:

A nocturnal gunfight took place between militants and security forces in Ratnipora town area of South Kashmir's Shopian area on Friday. As per latest reports, a militant has been killed and ammunition has been recovered from the area.

According to reports, the gunfight broke out after a joint Army's 34 RR, CRPF and SOG launched cordon and search operation in Ratnipora.

According to official sources, the exchange of firing has taken place in Ratnipora between militants and government forces after having reliable information about the presence of some militants in the area.
