The students of Bhagat Pre-University College at Haveri in Karnataka were asked to wear cardboard boxes during an exam on Wednesday, to discourage them from cheating.
The photo of the students wearing cardboard boxes went viral on social media. In the photos, it can be clearly seen that the cardboard boxes are open at the front and students are writing wearing those boxes on their heads.

As per reports, the state government of Karnataka has issued a notice to the college, demanding an explanation for the reason behind the step taken by the college.
Deputy director, PU Board, SC Peerjade said that the college can use “traditional ways” for managing students and to prevent malpractice in the examination hall, but this practice of being made to wear cardboard boxes is "inhuman". He also advised students to take such incidents to the Government's notice.
