In a surprising twist in the tale of Kashmir, a video is doing the rounds on social media which apparently shows the heart-wrenching plight of Kashmiri people in the wake of the abrogation of Article 370 in Kashmir, which has been under security lockdown since August 5.
In a video that is being widely circulated on social media platforms, a woman in a flight can be seen narrating her plight to former Congress Chief, Rahul Gandhi.
The aggrieved woman can be seen telling RaGa, "The kids are so young…We want to see them. They are not allowed to move out of their house. Small-small kids. If they go out to find each other, the guards pick them up. My brother is a heart patient. He had gone out in search of the kids, but he was not allowed to see them for 10 days. We are in trouble..."
In the viral video, Rahul can be seen patiently listening to the woman narrate her plight.
It may be mentioned that Rahul led a delegation of opposition leaders to Kashmir yesterday, but they were not allowed to proceed beyond the Srinagar airport and were sent back to Delhi.
Senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad said that, "the stories we heard from the passengers of Kashmir present in our flight, would bring tears even to a stone.."
"Upon returning to Delhi, Rahul told I was invited by the Governor to visit the state, which I accepted. I took senior leaders from the parties to see the situation, but we were not allowed to go beyond the airport, press people were mishandled, it is clear that things are not normal in the state."
