Guwahati, November 4, 2018:

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will finally inaugurate the much-awaited 675-metre Signature Bridge, built over Yamuna river, in Delhi on November 4 evening.

The project was initially expected to be completed before 2010 Delhi Commonwealth Games. However, the deadline was extended to June 2016 and then to December 2017.

The bridge will be open to public from Monday. The grand launch will be followed by a laser show.

The bridge will be connecting the Outer Ring Road on the western bank of the river with Wazirabad Road on the eastern side and is expected to reduce time between north and northeast Delhi.

It is the first asymmetrical cable-stayed bridge in India and will offer a panoramic view of the city. The shiny bridge will also provide four elevators that will take 50 people to the top of the bridge.

According to Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, the bridge will be a tourist destination as well with the 154-metre high glass box that will provide a bird’s view of the city.
