The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) will question Rajeev Kumar, Kolkata Police commissioner in Shillong on Saturday in connection with Saradha chit fund case.
Kumar was heading the SIT formed by West Bengal government to probe Saradha scam case. The CBI also called former Rajya Sabha MP Kunal Ghosh of Trinamool Congress to Shillong on 10 February.
It may be mentioned that the Supreme Court on Tuesday directed Kolkata Police Commissioner, Rajeev Kumar to make himself available before the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for the investigation procedure of Sraradha chit fund case. The court also said that no coercive steps, including the arrest of the Kolkata police chief, will take place during the course of the investigation.
