The Phase-V of the Lok Sabha polls has begun in from 7 am in the morning today. Fifty-one Constituencies across seven states will head to the polls today.
The fate of many star politicians such as UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Union Minister Rajnath Singh, Congress chief Rahul Gandhi, Union Minister Smriti Irani will be decided today.
The polls are going on in the seven states of the country: Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand and Jammu and Kashmir across 51 constituencies.
The fate of 674 candidates will be decided by about 8.75 crore people. As many as 94,000 polling stations have been set up for this phase of the polling in this largest exercise of democracy in the world.
Voting is being held in seven phases from April 11 to May 19. Counting will take place on May 23.
