The move came days after the Supreme Court ordered that internet services be resumed in J&K. The apex court had observed that Right to Internet was also part of Right to Speech and that it was part of the fundamental rights of the citizens.
It needs mention here that on August 5, when the Central government scrapped Article 370, thereby bifurcating the State into two Union Territories, Ladakh and Jammu & Kahsmir, telecom services were suspended.
