Narendra Modi (born: 17 September 1950) will be sworn as Prime Minister of India for the second consecutive term on May 30 in Rashtrapati Bhavan, a statement issued by the President's office said.
Modi, along with members of the Union Council of Ministers President, will be administered the oath and secrecy of the Prime Minister and other members of the Union Council of Ministers by President Ramnath Kovind, a statement issued by the President’s Office mentioned. The ceremony will be held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan at 7 pm.
The name has been conveyed by the President through a Tweet via his official handle, which read: "The President will administer the oath of office and secrecy to the Prime Minister and other members of the Union Council of Ministers at 7 pm on May 30, 2019, at Rashrapati Bhavan."
The names of the Ministers who will constitute the NDA's new cabinet are yet to be announced.
The BJP party was able to win the 2019 Lok Sabha elections with a clear mandate as the party was able to notch up a tally of 353 seats along with its NDA allies.
This is the first time that a non-Congress party has managed to secure a majority for the second term after Indira Gandhi had won in 1971 after her father and former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was earlier unanimously elected leader of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) on Saturday at a meeting attended by its newly elected MPs and senior leaders at the Parliament's Central Hall.
