Narendra Modi is a liar? Check the fact!

Among the most sensational lies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, another masterstroke came up as he recently stated in an interview that he used e-mail service and took photographs using a digital camera in 1988.

It is quite tempting for the people of the country to think that the Prime Minister of the country is so tech savvy. However, facts and figures paint a different story as all of us know that the World Wide Web or internet only became available for widespread public use in the 1990s.

The first ever government person to use modern internet and send a mail was former US president Bill Clinton during his presidency.

Moreover, the first time the general public sent out an email was not before 1995. The inventor and the computer programmer Ray Tomlinson who sent out an email to himself was in 1971.

On the other hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the interview said that he first used a digital camera in 1987-'88. He said that he clicked a picture on his camera of a rally of BJP leader L K Advani and transmitted the photo to Delhi, and the photo was published in colour the next day.

But interestingly, critics of Modi targeted him and pointed out that Nikon sold its first digital camera only in 1987.

These comments of Modi have created a sensation on the social media platforms where all including the opposition parties have found a new platform to criticize him. Meanwhile, memes and troll have found a place in the election cycle.

It will now be very interesting to know what the Prime Minister will say in response to the criticism he has been facing after making the comment on the utilization of internet services and his digital camera usage in the 80s.
