Guwahati, December 1, 2018:

A group of Naxals in the Sukma district of Chhattisgarh planted effigies and dummy weapons on Friday in order to confuse the security forces and escape operation.

According to reports, security forces have also recovered an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) weighing 7kgs near one of the effigies that was buried under the mud connected with a power source.

However, the IED was later diffused by the Central Reserve Police Force (CPRF) personnel.

As per CRPF officials, this total act of installing effigies and dummies was a tactic to confuse the security forces and to attack them.

It may be mentioned that, few weeks ago about ten naxals were gun down by security forces in a search operation while one District Reserve Guard personnel sustained injuries.
