Pakistan PM Could have Won Delhi Election, Claims Journalist Sudhir Choudhurypakistan

New Delhi, February 12, 2020:

Sudhir Choudhury, the Editor-in-Chief of Zee News, has recently claimed that Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan could have won the recently held elections in Delhi if he had given free stuff to the people.

This observation was made by the pro-BJP anchor after the Delhi Assembly election was won by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) with a thumping majority. In a bizarre discussion with panelist Kanchan Gupta, the Zee News Editor-in-Chief can be heard saying that the Imran Khan-led PTI party will be voted into power if it pays off the EMIs of the Delhites, even though Pakistan "has no money". Panelist Gupta gives his assent and agrees that Imran Khan's party would undoubtedly be voted into power if they give out freebies.

Choudhury, who has been making snide remarks about the people of Delhi for their choice of AAP over the BJP, claimed that Delhi's vote was completely decided by "free stuff".

In an earlier rant against the people of Delhi after the exit polls had predicted a BJP win, the Zee News has said, "Delhi’s people still want to choose parties that give them offers for free stuff...You must have heard that Delhi people always want to buy things during a sale, they don’t want to pay full amount. But when it comes to elections, they don’t want to pay at all. Meaning, in Delhi, the issues of free electricity, free water and free rides matter more because people don’t want to pay.”

However, Choudhury forgot to mention that in Delhi, even the BJP’s manifesto promised free bicycles and e-scooters for girls and women in school and college, to boost the mobility of women.
