Guwahati, April 4, 2019:

As per reports emerging from Punjab, a Pakistani drone was shot at by the Border Security Forces (BSF) in Khem Karan sector of Tarn Taran district in Punjab.

The drone was first spotted in Ratoke village on Wednesday night. The BSF shot it down with an anti-aircraft missile, but it is not clear whether it fell on the Indian side or the Pakistani side of the border.

The local administration then proceeded to suspend internet connectivity in the village. Electricity too was shut down.

Reports are yet to arrive whether the drone has been shot down.

It may be mentioned that on Wednesday, a high-level aerial activity was witnessed in Jammu and Kashmir. Eyewitnesses reported seeing several IAF jets flying over Mendhar in Poonch district along the Line of Control (LoC) and Rajouri district.

A war-like situation continues in the neighboring countries of India and Pakistan, especially near the bordering areas, as tensions continue to escalate following the terror attack in Kashmir's Pulwama district where 40 CRPF troopers were martyred following an attack by a Pakistan-linked Jaish-e-Mohammed militant.
