Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday filed his nomination for Varanasi Lok Sabha constituency.
The senior leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA) were present in Varanasi. Leaders of its NEDA alliance like NEDA convenor Himanta Biswa Sarma, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, Asom Gana Parishad president Atul Bora, and Nagaland Chief Minister Nephew Rio were also present.

Before filing my nomination papers, Modi prayed at the temple of Bhagwan Kaal Bhairav, also revered as the Kotwal of Kashi.
Varanasi will go to polls on May 19th, 2019 in the last phase of the Lok Sabha elections.
