Varanasi, June 16, 2019:

The most awaited match of the ICC Cricket World Cup so far -- India vs Pakistan -- is finally here. India will be facing Pakistan for the first time this World Cup and the priests in Varanasi -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Constituency -- have performed 'aarti' so that the rain Gods stay away from the cricket ground.

The 'Men in Blue' will have the psychological advantage in this match as India has faced Pakistan in six matches in the cricket world cup, but India has never lost to Pakistan so far. But that's not why tensions are high among fans on both sides of the border.

In this world cup played in England, four matches have been called off before the teams even got a chance to play. We aren’t even halfway through the tournament. It is expected that it might be raining again. Manchester is expecting rain today and the India-Pakistan clash may be hit by rain at any point. At this point, all we can really do is hope and pray that the rains spare the match Indian and Pakistani cricket fans have been waiting for.

Turns out, priests in Varanasi had the same thought and they performed 'aarti' ahead of the match so that rain stays away.

Meanwhile, Pakistan has won the toss and have chosen to bowl first.
